Not strictly Nintendo, but worth mentioning regardless, Microsoft has just announced a new wave of sixteen backwards compatible games for the Xbox One, many of which are enhanced to play in 4K resolution on their Xbox One X console.
Hidden amongst the announcement and something that not many sites seem to be picking up on is that Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption has been included in the update and is now playable, updated in 4K. Red Dead released to much critical acclaim in 2010 and has been hailed as something of a classic since so this is some big news for Xbox.
The sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out in the (near?) future, so playing the game in 4K for those that own an X seems like the perfect warmup.
